A Systemic Approach to Therapy

I am Jessica Hayes, a Systemic and Psychocorporeal Therapist with a professional background in early childhood education, language teaching, and work within the social and medico-social sectors.

My practice is rooted in the belief that emotional, psychological, and physical wellbeing cannot be separated from relationships, environment, and communication. Many difficulties arise not from individuals themselves, but from repeated patterns within families, couples, workplaces, or wider systems.

Drawing on systemic therapy, body-based approaches, and years of professional experience, I support adults, parents, couples, and children to understand what is not working and to find practical ways forward.

Understanding Difficulties Through Relationships

Two ideas strongly guide my work:

Even when it feels like everything has been tried, change remains possible
Communication is always present, even when words are missing

Unspoken tensions, repeated conflicts, and emotional exhaustion often point to deeper relational patterns. By exploring these patterns together, it becomes possible to create meaningful change without blame or judgment.

Experience Across Care, Education and Health

I have worked for many years in education, early childhood care, and social support settings. This experience has shaped a particular sensitivity to family dynamics, attachment, developmental challenges, and emotional overload.

I have also collaborated closely with midwives, healthcare professionals, and social care teams, supporting individuals and institutions facing burnout, trauma, and complex relational pressures.

This background allows me to work with both emotional depth and practical clarity, always considering the person within their full life context.

A Practical and Supportive Therapeutic Process

Systemic therapy focuses on interaction rather than labels. Instead of asking “What is wrong?”, we explore “What is happening?” and “How can it be approached differently?”

This approach often helps people move forward more quickly by breaking unhelpful cycles and opening new possibilities

As expressed by Paul Watzlawick: “The problem is the solution.”
